ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins Shoots Shot at Sports Center’s Elle Duncan (And It’s An Airball!)

We told you a few weeks ago about Houston Rockets star Kevin Durant’s on-air attempt to win a date with FanDuel’s Kay Adams. Now let us regale you with the sad tale of Kendrick Perkins apparently taking his shot at fellow ESPNer Elle Duncan during an on-air segment on Sports Center. Perkins was discussing the NBA’s opening night when Duncan joked that one of the ‘perks’ of working at the sports network was talking to Kendrick. The former NBA player paused and said, ‘What you need Ibuprofen for when you can have a Perk,” an apparent reference to his sexual prowess. Duncan looked ashen after the remark and quickly closed the segment. Better luck next time, big guy.

Charissa Thompson Needs a Shot – A Flu Shot, That Is
Charissa Thompson, the pre-game host of Amazon’s Thursday Night Football, has revealed that she did the October 16 game with the flu. During a podcast with gal pal Erin Andrews, Charissa said she kept the illness to herself because she feared for her job. (She’s kidding…well, sort of.) “They will have to drag me off the set and force me to quit this job before I ever do,” she told Erin. To learn more, click here.

Amazon’s Cassidy Hubbarth Wins Praise For Stern Interview
Amazon’s regular season NBA coverage debuted last Friday with a doubleheader and sidelines reporter Cassidy Hubbarth is already winning praise for her insights and strong interviewing skills. Hubbarth grilled NBA Commissioner Adam Stern during the Celtics-Knicks game regarding the recent gambling-related indictments of Miami’s Terry Rozier and Portland coach Chauncey Billups. Despite Amazon’s 11-year partnership with the NBA, Hubbarth forced Stern to address the tough issues that have some questioning the league’s integrity. You can see the interview below:

Indiana Fever Sophie Cunningham Looking Good On Set
We’ve previously noted here that it’s just a matter of time before leggy Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham hangs up the jersey and picks up a mic. With her looks and vivacious personality, she’s a natural TV talent. After a recent interview on ABC’s Good Morning America, Sophie seemed to agree as you can see below:

Taylor Rooks Scores On Amazon’s NBA Broadcasts
And speaking of Amazon, fans and writers are praising Prime Video’s game coverage, particularly the pre-game show hosted by Taylor Rooks. The Bill Simmons podcast X account said, “Taylor Rooks, immediately, is a far superior NBA studio host than Malika Andrews.” High praise coming from the former ESPN analyst.
