Hulu to Add 104 New Shows & Movies This Week – Here Are the 3 to Watch

Hulu this week (September 29-October 5, 2025) plans to add 104 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

Chad Powers (Hulu Original)
Release Date: Tuesday, September 30 (First two episodes)
Glen Powell (Hit Man, Twisters) stars as a disgraced NFL quarterback who dons a disguise to play for a college football team in this Hulu original comedy series. The premise is based loosely, very loosely, on Eli Manning’s character prank in his ESPN series, but the trailer looks fun and Powell has both the charm and athleticism (he played high school football) to pull it off.

The Simpsons: Season 37 Premiere
Release Date: Monday, September 29
If you haven’t watched The Simpsons for awhile, stream in last night’s season 37 premiere which first aired on Fox. The animated comedy series featuring the dysfunctional family headed by Homer Simpson remains arguably the best satire on television. This show’s writers have their collective finger on the pulse of our culture and it shows with subtle (and, sometimes, not so subtle) jabs at political and entertainment figures as well as everyday folks. Still a great show!

Die Hard (1988)
Release Date: Wednesday, October 1
Bruce Willis plays the smirking New York cop combatting a terrorist takeover of his wife’s office building in Los Angeles on Christmas Eve. The film, directed with perfection by John McTiernan, redefined the action genre and made Willis an A-List star. Alan Rickman nearly steals the picture as the evil, acid-tongued terrorist boss.
