Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, HBO Max, Peacock to Add 52 New Releases This Weekend – Here Are the 3 to Watch

Netflix, Peacock, HBO Max, Amazon, Hulu and Paramount Plus will add 52 new movies and shows this weekend (September 25-28, 2025). Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion.

M3GAN 2.0 (2025) – Peacock
Release Date: Friday, September 25
Allison Williams stars in this horror sequel to the 2022 film, M3GAN, which successfully scared the bejeebers out of anyone contemplating buying an Artificial Intelligence device, or a doll, for that matter. In this follow-up, M3GAN, the doll not the movie, is rebuilt to combat a military robot that is attempting to take over all of AI. Lower the lights, and your expectations, and you will have a good time with this popcorn movie. Just be careful not to watch it around Alexa.

House of Guinness – Netflix Original Series
Release Date: Thursday, September 25
Anthony Boyle and Louis Partridge star as warring brothers in this retelling of the building of the Guinness brewing company in 1880s Dublin, Ireland. From Steven Knight, the creator of the smashing crime drama, Peaky Blinders, the eight-episode House of Guinness promises to be Succession meets, well, Peaky Blinders, with plenty of sibling rivalry and a dash of larceny.

Wayward – Netflix Original Series
Release Date: Thursday, September 25
Toni Collette stars (I’m already hooked; few actresses are slinging it better than Toni Collette these days) in this psychological thriller as the mysterious head of a private academy for, yes, wayward teens. A private investigator is hired to root out the truth but soon learns that some secrets are better buried. (And that might not be all that’s buried.)
