There’s been a lot of talk about ESPN’s new Unlimited App, which offers all ESPN sports networks as well as on demand programming for $29.99 a month. But lost in the discussion is the app’s incredible lineup of college football programming, including live games, coaches’ shows and other fare. While the app covers all sports, the amount of content targeted specifically to the college football fan is unprecedented.
In our new video at the TV Answer Man channel page at YouTube, we go up close and personal with the college football lineup on the ESPN app and explain why any college football fan should consider subscribing. (And if you want to subscribe to our YouTube page, click here.)

I was excited to use the new ESPN app on my Apple TV to follow 4 games with their multicast option. However, it rarely worked more than a few minutes before one game would freeze, then another, then another until all 4 windows were spinning asterisks! And I have Gig internet! The idea is good. The execution leaves something to be desired.
I have not tried it yet but I just signed up for NHL Center Ice with Spectrum and they told me I can get it at no charge. I guess when I see the price 0f $29.99 a month this will be a good deal. I asked if that was for just hockey and they said no it was unlimited. Really good deal considering the Center Ice is only $69.99 for the entire season.
Have you heard a date for when the ESPN Unlimited app will be available for DirecTV satellite customers? The only answer I can find is just “later this fall”. Personally I think it’s a little unfair that streaming-only customers get the app right away when satellite customers have to wait.
Later this fall remains DIRECTV’s answer.
