Hulu to Add 35 New Shows & Movies This Week – But Here’s the One to Watch

Hulu this week (August 11-17, 2025) plans to add 35 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here’s the one you definitely don’t want to miss, in my humble opinion:

FX’s Alien: Earth (Two episode premiere)
Did you watch FX’s Fargo series or Legend? If you did, you probably know who Noah Hawley is and you’re getting very excited to watch Tuesday’s two-episode premiere (at 8 p.m. ET) of FX’s Alien: Earth. The sci-fi series, which was created by Hawley, the brilliant mind behind Fargo the TV show, and Legend, is an Alien prequel to the movie series. Set in 2120, two years before Sigourney Weaver lay waste to the big bad monster in 1979’s Alien, FX’s Alien: Earth follows the crew of the Maginot after it crash lands on Earth and then discovers an unimaginable evil force. After breathing new life in the Coen brothers’ universe in Fargo, I can’t wait to see what Hawley has in store for the Alien saga. The show’s cast includes Timothy Olyphant (Justified), Sydney Chandler (pictured above) and Alex Lawther.
