Where to Watch This Weekend’s NFL Playoff Games (Complete TV Schedule)

The TV Answer Man – Buy Me a Coffee!

TV Answer Man, I looked today for the TV schedule and times for the NFL playoff games this weekend and can’t find a thing. Any ideas on the schedule and so forth? Thanks for what you do for us readers!! – Gene, Pittsburgh.

Gene, thank you for that. I understand your confusion but the schedule for this weekend’s second round of NFL playoff games was not set until after last night’s Houston Texans-Pittsburgh Steelers game. (Houston won big!) But we now know who’s playing who, when, and on which TV channels.

Good news for most fans: No streaming exclusives!
There isn’t an exclusive contest on a streaming service during round two. (Amazon’s Prime Video had the exclusive rights to last Saturday’s Bears-Packers game.) So, if you have CBS, ABC, NBC and Fox, you’re covered.

The TV schedule for this weekend’s NFL playoff games

Saturday, January 17
Denver vs. Buffalo – 4:30 p.m. ET (CBS)
Seattle vs. San Francisco – 8 p.m. ET (Fox)

Sunday, January 18
New England vs. Houston – 3 p.m. ET (ABC/ESPN)
Chicago vs. LA Rams – 6:30 p.m. ET (NBC, Peacock)

NFL in 4K and 1080p HD
Fox is likely to air the Seattle-San Francisco game in upscale 4K. (We’ll confirm that later this week.) If you watch the Bears-Rams game on Peacock, it will be in at least 1080p HD (and looking great.) I say ‘at least,’ because some fans say their devices show the Peacock NFL streams are in 4K although NBC Sports has denied that.

Gene, I hope that answers your question. Happy viewing and stay safe!
