Does Amazon Prime Video Offer HBO Max For Free?

TV Answer Man, does Amazon Prime still have a free trial for HBO Max? I can’t find it anywhere? – Carli, Dayton, Ohio.
Carli, Amazon’s Prime Video offers HBO Max on its app for the same prices as you would pay on the HBO Max app. However, it used to be advantageous to subscribe to HBO Max on Prime Video because it offered a seven-day free trial. That would give you a chance to check out the service before actually paying.
But I’m sorry to report that Prime Video no longer provides the free trial. To subscribe, you have to pay up front just like you do with the HBO Max app.
In fact, HBO Max now does not offer a free trial anywhere, including its own app. The service has decided too many consumers decide to watch for free but then don’t subscribe. So, no free trials for anyone.
If you’re looking for a free trial, Hulu still offers one, sometimes as much as 30 days. And Amazon’s Prime membership, which includes the Prime Video streaming service, has a 30-day free trial.
Carli, I hope that helps. Happy viewing and stay safe!
