DIRECTV is holding a free preview of the Paramount Plus With Showtime channel from Thursday, July 10, through Sunday, July 13.

The preview coincides with the premiere of the new Dexter: Resurrection show on July 11 on streaming and July 13 on satellite. (The first two episodes of the show will premiere on streaming on July 11 and satellite on July 13.)

Dexter: Resurrection marks the return of Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall), the fictional serial killer of the popular Showtime show that lasted nine seasons.

Paramount Plus with Showtime will be available on DIRECTV satellite from channels 545 to 556. DIRECTV streaming customers can watch it on channel 545.

U-Verse will offer the free preview on channels 852 and 1852.

DIRECTV says the free preview will not include access to the Paramount Plus app or ParamountPlus.com. Streaming customers can access the Paramount On Demand menu on DIRECTV, but satellite subscribers can not access the Paramount On Demand menu on satellite.

Several other TV providers are likely to offer the free preview. Consult your on-screen guide for more details.
