Hulu this week (July 6-12, 2025) plans to add 34 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:
Such Brave Girls (Season Two)
Release Date: July 7 (Complete season)
Comedienne Kat Sadler stars in this British-made sitcom about a dysfunctional family struggling with the challenges of single motherhood. I didn’t watch season one but it won a BAFTA in Great Britain (the equivalent of the U.S. Emmy) so if you’re looking for a new comedy, this might be your answer. Season one is now available on Hulu.
FX’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Season 17 Premiere
Release Date: Wednesday, July 9.
Speaking of sharp-eyed comedy, FX’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia returns this week. The show, which first airs the previous night on FX, stars Charlie Day (pictured above), Danny DeVito and Kaitlin Olson as a group of friends who run an Irish bar in Philly. In case you haven’t seen the previous 16 seasons, you could stream in the season 17 premiere without feeling like you missed a thing. It’s an old school sitcom where the jokes comes first.
Parkland (2013)
Release Date: Thursday, July 10
Parkland stars Zac Efron as a young doctor at the infamous Parkland Hospital in Dallas on the day of President Kennedy’s assassination. The movie, which chronicles the chaotic scene at the hospital, and across Dallas, following the murder, is a tense, fast-paced drama with strong performances from Efron, Jeremy Strong as Lee Harvey Oswald, and Paul Giamatti as Abraham Zapruder, the man who filmed the assassination.
