Will YouTube Offer Sunday Ticket Discounts For Existing Customers?

TV Answer Man, I appreciate your update on the pricing for new users of the NFL Sunday Ticket, but what about existing or old subscribers? Will we get a discount in 2025? – Mark, Raleigh, North Carolina.
Mark, you’re right. YouTube TV and YouTube Primetime Channels yesterday announced that they are now selling the 2025 NFL Sunday Ticket to new users for $23 a month for 12 months, a total cost of $276. That’s a $102 discount for YouTube TV subscribers and a hefty $204 discount for those who purchase the Ticket via YouTube Primetime Channels.
But what about fans who are former subscribers of the NFL Sunday Ticket? Or people who subscribed in 2024 and have yet to cancel their auto renewal? Will they see a discount offer before the 2025 season?
In May 2024, YouTube offered existing subscribers a $100 discount on the Ticket. Later in the year, it cut the price by $50. So it’s highly likely it will again roll out some incentives for existing/past customers to sign up.
But if you’re waiting for the discount, it’s important that you cancel your Ticket’s auto renewal immediately. (You can cancel in your Settings.) If you don’t, YouTube will bill you for the full price at some point before the season and you will be unable to get the discount.
And it’s not just me telling you this. Here’s a statement from YouTube in 2024 urging people to cancel auto renewal to take advantage of last year’s $100 discount.
The TV Answer Man will monitor this situation and report back here if there is any change in pricing, which I definitely expect there will be.
Mark, hope that answers your question. Happy viewing and stay safe!
