TV Answer Man, do you know if Amazon will stream the NASCAR races in 4K? – Kit, Nashville.
Kit, Amazon’s Prime Video this year will be the exclusive carrier of five NASCAR races from May 25 to June 22, 2025. But will the races be available in 4K?
Answer: No. However, there is some good news. Prime Video will stream the five races in 1080p HD HDR (High Dynamic Range). That is the same picture format the company uses for its Thursday Night Football broadcasts so the picture quality should be vivid and detailed, certainly better than what you would normally see when NASCAR is on a Fox affiliate which uses the inferior 720p HD.
If you don’t have the details on the upcoming NASCAR races on Amazon, here’s the schedule:
NASCAR On Amazon’s Prime Video
May 25: Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway – 6 p.m. ET
June 1: NASCAR Cup Series Race at Nashville Superspeedway – 7 p.m. ET
June 8: NASCAR Cup Series Race at Michigan International Speedway – 2 p.m. ET
June 15: NASCAR Cup Series Race at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City – 3 p.m. ET
June 22: NASCAR Cup Series Race at Pocono Raceway in Pennsylvania – 2 p.m. ET
How to Watch NASCAR On Amazon
The races will be free to Amazon Prime members, the same as how the etailer has handled other exclusive live sports broadcasts such as Thursday Night Football. The cost of a Prime membership is $14.99 a month or $139 a year.
