Hulu to Add 21 New Releases This Week – Here Are 2 You Can’t Miss

Hulu this week (March 17-23, 2025) plans to add 21 new movies and TV shows to its streaming lineup. Here are the two you don’t want to miss, in my humble opinion:

Anora (2024)
For film buffs, this might be the only reason you need to subscribe to Hulu now. The streamer on Monday, March 17 has added Anora, the 2025 Oscar winner for Best Picture. The comedy/drama stars Mikey Madison (who took home the Oscar for Best Actress) as a Brooklyn stripper who impulsively marries the son of a Russian oligarch whose family then comes to America to end the marriage. Anora’s Sean Baker also captured the Best Director Oscar. I haven’t seen Anora yet but I’m looking forward to it. Debuts March 17.

Good American Family – Hulu Original
Ellen Pompeo and Mark Duplass star as a Midwestern couple whose lives are torn asunder when the little girl they adopt may not be a little girl after all. (No spoilers here.) The eight-episode Hulu original series, which is based on a real story, looks intriguing and the trailer definitely piques interest. (See it below). Debuts with first two episodes on Wednesday, March 19; future episodes will air on Wednesdays through April 30.
