Netflix this week (February 2-8, 2025) plans to add 23 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the three most interesting, in my humble opinion:

Apple Cider Vinegar – Netflix Original Series

Kaitlyn Dever (Justified, Dopesick) stars as a wellness expert who shocks the world by claiming to cure her brain cancer with a special diet. The problem is, she never actually had brain cancer. Based on a true story, Apple Cider Vinegar sounds like the perfect vehicle to highlight the superficiality of social media. And if you’re not familiar with Dever’s work, she’s an exciting actress who seems to get more interesting with every role. Debuts Thursday, February 6.

The Founder (2016)
Michael Keaton is brilliant as Ray Kroc, the California businessman who transformed a single roadside hamburger joint called McDonald’s into a multi-billion dollar fast food phenomenon. The film chronicles Kroc’s ruthless drive to jettison the restaurant’s original founders and implement a rigid mass assembly system to enable a nationwide franchise. As Kroc, who later also went on to become the owner of the San Diego Padres, Keaton personifies the American essence of entrepreneurship albeit at the risk of losing one’s moral compass. Great underrated film! – Debuts Sunday, February 2.

The Graham Norton Show: Best Bits: The Week of January 24, 2025
If you’ve never watched The Graham Norton Show, it’s a British talk/comedy program featuring the self-titled Irish comedian and actor. What makes it interesting is that normally reticent American celebrities come on the show and engage in a round couch hour-long banter with each other. It’s like eavesdropping on a good cocktail party where the guests just happen to be famous. On this episode, Norton will host Will Ferrell, Reese Witherspoon, and Ariana Grande. Debuts Tuesday, February 4.
