Every week, The TV Answer Man provides updates on new titles coming to the leading streaming services. Normally, streamers such as Netflix, Max, Hulu and Amazon’s Prime Video add a few dozen new titles each week and sometimes even more. But this week, Amazon’s streaming service is adding just two new titles. However, you need to be aware of one of them if you’re a sports fan.

No, it’s not Focus, the 2015 comedy/crime film starring Will Smith and Margot Robbie, which will be added to Prime Video on Friday, January 10. It’s the NFL Wild Card game which will be streamed exclusively on Amazon on either January 11 or 12.

Update: The Amazon game will be the Steelers-Ravens at 8 pm ET on Saturday, January 11.

Yes, Amazon this year has the exclusive streaming NFL Wild Card game which was held last year by Peacock. The good news is that the game will be free on Twitch, Amazon’s gaming service. But you might want to invest in a 30-day free trial of Prime just in case. (Note that the game will not be available anywhere else except on local channels in the markets where the two teams play. The one exception is NFL Plus, the league’s streaming service with plans starting at $6.99 a month.)

The exact date, time and teams for the Amazon game will be revealed late tonight or tomorrow after today’s final slate of Sunday games plays out. Amazon, which does its NFL games in 1080p HDR, says the playoff broadcast will feature play-by-play announcer Al Michaels and analyst Kirk Herbstreit. Kaylee Hartung will report from the sidelines while Charissa Thompson, Tony Gonzalez, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Andrew Whitworth, and Richard Sherman will offer pre-game and post-game analysis.
