Netflix to Add 19 New Titles This Week – Here Are the 3 Most Interesting

Netflix this week (January 5-11, 2025) plans to add 19 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the three most interesting, in my humble opinion:

WWE RAW: 2025
Netflix’s much-anticipated debut of WWE Monday Night RAW will stream Monday, January 6, at 8 p.m. ET. The first episode will include such wrasslin’ warriors as John Cena, Cody Rhodes, CM Punk and Roman Reigns as well as YouTuber Logan Paul (brother to Jake). The show will be live so Netflix is hoping for an NFL Christmas technical performance rather than a Tyson-Paul debacle. The streamer has committed $500 million per year over 10 years for the WWE RAW rights. Debuts Monday, January 6.

American Primeval (Netflix original series)
Taylor Kitsch stars as a frontiersman in 1850s Oregon who will do anything to protect his land and loved ones from mercenaries and Native Americans. The six-part series, directed by Peter Berg (who has teamed with Kitsch on multiple projects, including Friday Night Lights), promises to chronicle the violent clash of cultures and religions in shaping the American West. The supporting cast includes Betty Gilpin, Shea Whigham and Dane DeHaan. Debuts Thursday, January 9.

Love Is Blind – Germany (Netflix Original – New Episodes)
Based on the American version of the Netflix dating series, a few dozen German men and women will take turns jumping into shielded pods to discuss life, sex and other trivial matters while searching for ‘the one.’ The show is more disposable than an ultra-soft box of Kleenex but it’s harmless and occasionally funny. And if you’re a 20something, it’s probably irresistible. Debuts Friday, January 10.
