Netflix to Add 25 New Titles This Week – Here’s the 3 Most Interesting

Netflix this week (November 18-24, 2024) plans to add 25 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the three most interesting, in my humble opinion:

Adam Ray Is Dr. Phil Unleashed – Netflix Comedy
If there’s anyone who deserves a merciless mocking, it’s Dr. Phil (McGraw), the daytime TV psychiatrist who renders advice and diagnosis to anyone sufficiently numbed-brained to appear on his show. So Netflix has handed the job to comedian Adam Rich who dons the Dr. Phil garb and ridicules the good doctor and his glib offerings. But hold on. This is not an ordinary comedy special because the real Dr. Phil appears during the show to match wits with his doppelganger. Debuts on Tuesday, November 19.

Just when you thought you didn’t need another Ted Danson comedy, Netflix serves up this charming series featuring the Cheers (and dozens of other shows) star as a retired professor who’s hired to be a spy at a retirement home. The residents include Sally Struthers (All in the Family) and the trailer actually looks good. Debuts on Thursday, November 21.
