Amazon’s Prime Video this week (November 18-24, 2024) plans to add eight new shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the three most interesting, in my humble opinion:

Abigail (2024)
Alisha Weir stars in this comedy/horror film as a centuries-old vampire who appears to be a twelve-year-old child. But that’s just the beginning. A dysfunctional band of kidnappers pluck her from her gangster Daddy’s home and demand a ransom of $50 million. Of course, they have no idea that she’s a blood-thirsty denizen of the dead. Abigail is a fun-filled romp with plenty of jump scares for horror fans. Lower the lights and your expectations and you’ll have a great time. Debuts Tuesday, November 19.

Cruel Intentions (2024)
Based on the 1999 guilty pleasure film starring Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe, this Amazon original eight-episode series features two step siblings who conspire to combine their charming wiles to seduce the daughter of the Vice President of the United States. You might have already guessed that I will not be streaming in, but it sounds like irresistible catnip for The CW audience. Debuts Thursday, November 21.

Thursday Night Football: Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns
On paper, this looks like a mismatch. The Steelers are 8-2 while the Browns are the upside-down version of that (2-8.) But Cleveland’s Jameis Winston threw for 395 yards yesterday in the team’s loss to the Saints. So, anything’s possible, right?. Debuts Thursday, November 21.
