Netflix, Peacock, Max & Hulu to Add 27 New Titles This Weekend – Here’s the 3 Most Interesting

Summer is over (well, school’s back; that’s always the end of summer to me) so it’s time to watch some television. This weekend, Netflix, Hulu, Peacock, Max and Amazon’s Prime Video will add 27 new TV shows and movies. Here’s the three most interesting, in my humble opinion.

NFL Exclusive – Green Bay Packers vs. Philadelphia Eagles (Peacock Exclusive)
This is the NFL week one game that will get everyone crazy. Peacock has the exclusive rights to the Packers-Eagles opener and it’s guaranteed to generate outrage from fans, politicians and sports talk shows. ‘Why should we have to pay just to watch a single game?!!” However, if you want to watch, you will need a Peacock sub and they start at $7.99 a month. Debuts on Peacock on Friday, September 6 at 8 p.m. ET.

Wise Guy David Chase and The Sopranos (HBO Original)
Acclaimed documentary maker Alex Gibney will examine David Chase, the man who created arguably the greatest show in HBO history, The Sopranos. The two-episode doc will be clip heavy plus include behind-the-scenes show footage and interviews with Chase and cast standouts Lorraine Bracco, Edie Falco, and Michael Imperioli. Debuts on HBO/Max on Saturday, September 7 with both parts.

Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist (Peacock Original)
Kevin Hart and Terrence Howard star in this eight-episode retelling of a brazen armed robbery (and murder) that occurred in Atlanta the night of Muhammad Ali’s comeback fight in 1970 against Jerry Quarry. The eye-popping supporting cast includes Samuel L. Jackson, Don Cheadle, Lori Harvey and Taraji P. Henson and the trailer looks great. I’m all in. Debuts on Peacock on Friday, September 6.
