TV Answer Man, do you know if Notre Dame football games will be in 4K again this year? Love your articles and I hope all is well with your Google problems!! — Jen, Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Jen, many thanks for your kind words. To your question: NBC has offered an upscaled 4K broadcast of Notre Dame home games for several years and it will continue that practice in 2024. The first game that will be available in 4K is the Northern Illinois-Notre Dame game this Saturday (September 7) at 3;30 p.m. ET. NBC and Peacock will simulcast the game in high-def, but it will not be available in 4K on Peacock’s streaming service.

Where can you watch the game in 4K? YouTube TV, DIRECTV and DIRECTV Stream have all confirmed they will provide the contest in the format on their special 4K channels. There may be more providers so check your on-screen guide for details.

Also note that NBC this year, as in previous years, will only offer Notre Dame’s home games in 4K.
