Netflix will remove 15 TV shows and movies from its streaming lineup between now and February 28, 2026. Here are three to watch before they leave, in my humble opinion:

Zodiac (2007)
When Is It Leaving: February 17 What Kind of Movie: Crime Drama
Who’s In It: Jake Gyllenhaal, Robert Downey, Jr.

The David Fincher-directed thriller about the notorious real-life serial killer in the 1970s Bay Area stars Jake Gyllenhaal as a San Francisco newspaper cartoonist who becomes obsessed with the hunt. Fincher shrewdly chronicles how one man’s thirst for the truth can become all consuming while simultaneously displaying a similar impact one evil man can have on a city of millions. Brilliant film with great performances from Gyllenhaal and Robert Downey, Jr., his newsroom colleague, and Mark Ruffalo as the lead cop.

Don’t Say a Word (2001)
When Is It Leaving: February 18
What Kind of Movie: Drama
Who’s In It: Michael Douglas, Brittany Murphy

Michael Douglas stars as a high-profile psychiatrist who must examine a disturbed sanatorium patient (Brittany Murphy) who holds the secret to solving a murder and jewel theft. The film is a solid thriller, but worth noting particularly for the performance of the late Brittany Murphy who is both powerful and touching here. The actress died at 32 in 2009 due to a combination of prescription drugs and pneumonia but Don’t Say a Word serves as a great showcase for her exceptional talents, extinguised far too soon.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
When Is It Leaving: February 18
What Kind of Movie: Horror
Who’s In It: Marilyn Burns, Gunther Hansen (And others you’ve never heard of)

The 1974 original The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is as polarizing, and pulverizing, film as you will ever see. The horror classic, which was directed by Tobe Hooper, and made for less than $140,000, tells the tale of a misunderstood farm boy named Leatherface (Gunther Hansen) who takes a chainsaw to pretty much everyone he ever meets. The movie’s violence is both shocking and scary and it’s spawned countless imitations over the decades including bad remakes and sequels and prequels. Now until February 17, you can learn for yourself why this movie has had such an incredible cultural impact.
