Amazon’s Prime Video to Add 16 New Releases This Week: The 3 to Watch

Amazon’s Prime Video this week (March 22-28, 2026) will add 16 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

All In the Family (Seasons 1-9)
When to Watch: Wednesday, March 25
What Kind of Show: Sitcom
Who’s In It: Carroll O’Connor, Jean Stapleton, Rob Reiner, Sally Struthers

All in the Family, the hit sitcom which aired for nine seasons on CBS from 1971 to 1979, starred Carroll O’Connor as the bigoted but loveable schnook, Archie Bunker. The supporting cast included Jean Stapleton as his wife, Edith, Sally Struthers as his daughter, Gloria, and Rob Reiner as her husband, Mike. The show, which was created by comedy genius Norman Lear, became a cultural sensation for his comedic turns on the hot social topics of the day such as racism, income inequality and the Vietnam War. When President Richard Nixon captured re-election in a landslide in 1972, some commentators said his victory was driven in part by the ‘Archie Bunker vote,’ meaning white, blue collar workers who were dissatisfied with the rapid change in the culture. Particularly since the tragic death of Rob Reiner, readers often ask me where they can watch all nine seasons of the show. On March 25, you can at Amazon’s Prime Video.

House of David (Season Two, All Eight Episodes)
When to Watch: Saturday, March 28
What Kind of Show: Religious Drama
Who’s In It: Michael Iskander

Michael Iskander stars as the biblical figure, David, the king of ancient Israel, in this Amazon original historical dramatic series. The series chronicles his rise to power and awakening as a religious leader. What makes this show interesting is Amazon’s attempt to tap the growing audience for religious fare, a sign (so to speak) that Hollywood has finally recognized the genre. In season two, David makes the transition from lowly shepherd to powerful warrior while striving to avoid palace politics.

Married With…Children (Seasons 1-11)
When to Watch: Wednesday, March 25
What Kind of Show: Bawdy Comedy
Who’s In It: Ed O’Neill, Christina Applegate, Katie Segal

And here’s another classic ‘comfort food’ comedy. Married With…Children, which aired for 11 seasons on Fox nearly four decades ago, stars Ed O’Neill as Al Bundy, the head of a dysfunctional family of oversexed kids (Christina Applegate, David Faustino) and a frustrated wife (Katie Segal). The show thrived on the politically incorrect vibe of the time and probably could never make it to air now, even on streaming. But you can watch it this week on Amazon in all its goofy glory. (Just don’t tell anyone you’re watching.)
