The TV Answer Man – Buy Me a Coffee!
TV Answer Man, Cincinnati Reds fan here. Any chance that someone will carry their games in 2026 so I don’t have to pay the streaming money? Thank you for all your updates!! – Carrie, Cincinnati.
Carrie, as I have written here previously, DIRECTV says it anticipates adding the new Cincinnati Reds channel by Opening Day next week. The holdout is a mix of financial reasons on both sides. See this article for more details. (And the Reds have a new channel because it exited its regional TV deal with the financially troubled FanDuel Sports Network.)
But I have some good news for you. WVXU Radio reports that Altafiber, the cable system in Cincinnati operated by Cincinnati Bell, will add the Reds.TV channel to its lineup on March 25.
“We have an update for the Reds games. Reds games will be available on channel 24. This channel will go live on March 25 for Opening Day,” Altafiber posted on its X account.
With Opening Day for the Reds just eight days away (March 26), I expect to hear more announcements in the coming days. So, stay tuned – and don’t pay $99 for the Reds.TV streaming service if you have a cable or satellite plan. Chances are the channel will be added to your plan before the season starts.

What about dish in Indianapolis
If you’re asking if Dish Network will carry the Reds, it’s highly doubtful.
