Will DIRECTV Carry the Cincinnati Reds In 2026?

TV Answer Man, do you know if DIRECTV will carry the Cincinnati Reds this season. It’s getting late! – Mark, Fort Thomas, Kentucky.

Mark, I understand your concern. Opening Day is 10 days away and DIRECTV nor other TV providers have announced whether they will carry the Cincinnati Reds in 2026. But let me reassure you that the announcement is coming soon.

Nine MLB teams (Braves, Reds, Tigers, Royals, Marlins, Angels, Brewers, Rays and Cardinals) this year have exited their agreements with the financial crippled FanDuel Sports Network and will be streamed on team.tv channels. (The Washington Nationals will also be on Nationals.TV after ending its two-decade long partnership with MASN.)

DIRECTV, and several other TV providers which carried those teams in 2025, do not have carriage agreements with MLB for them in 2026. However, we have predicted that the deals will come by Opening Day in late March, likely next week. (Read our article on why it will take that long.)

And DIRECTV has just said on its X customer service account now that it does ‘anticipate’ adding the Reds and the other ex-FanDuel teams by then.

“We anticipate offering Cincinnati Reds coverage to fans in time for Opening Day. DIRECTV remains the industry leader in MLB coverage and is committed to keeping fans connected to their favorite teams,” the TV provider told one customer.

On DIRECTV’s web site, the TV provider even has a channel ‘to be determined’ designation for the nine FanDuel teams and the Nationals. You can see it here

So, Mark, be patient. The Reds are coming to DIRECTV. You will just have to wait a bit.
