Will YouTube TV Carry Peacock Sports?
Puck’s John Ourand reports that the recent carriage agreement between YouTube TV and NBC calls for the streamer to carry select Peacock sporting events on the new NBC Sports channel which is expected to launch later this year. However, while exclusive live events such as NFL games won’t be included, it’s unclear if other Peacock exclusives such as Notre Dame football will be. (Hat tip to Jon Lewis of Sports Media Watch.)

Hulu Scraps Belichick Documentary
Inside Carolina.com reports that Hulu has scrapped an in-season documentary on Bill Belichick, the troubled coach of the University of North Carolina football team. The Tar Heels are 2-3 and have been blown out in the three losses. And there’s also the matter of the ‘Girlfriend from Hell’ controversy. Sounds like Hulu found an escape hatch, doesn’t it?

ABC News Leads the Evening News With…Mark Sanchez?
The Saturday night altercation between former Jets QB and current Fox NFL analyst Mark Sanchez and a truck driver is certainly a juicy story. (Sanchez was arrested in his hospital bed in Indianapolis for battery after being stabbed by the driver who pleaded self defense.) But is the story so important that it should have led last night’s ABC World News Tonight broadcast? Well, ABC thought so, leaving other major developments such as the federal government shutdown, and ICE skirmishes, in the dust. Let me take a wild stab here and guess that ABC doesn’t lead with the Sanchez story if he worked for ESPN rather than news rival Fox.

Al Michaels Taking Heat For Thursday Night Football Calls
Al Michaels is so old that I used to listen to him broadcasting Cincinnati Reds games when I was a kid. And I’m old, folks. But Michaels remains a calming and knowledgeable presence behind the mike during Amazon’s Thursday Night Football games. However, not everyone feels that way. Several publications, and more than a few fans, are ripping Al for missing a few calls during the first few games of the season. See this TotalProSports.com article for more.

Apple TV+ Nearing F1 TV Deal
We started with Mr. Ourand of Puck and we will close with him. His newsletter reports that Apple TV+ is close to obtaining streaming rights to F1 races. If Apple TV+ handles F1 races as well as it has Major League Baseball broadcasts, they will be a treat for eyes and ears.
