HBO Max to Add 95 New Releases This Week: The 3 to Watch
By Phillip Swann
The TV Answer Man – Buy Me a Coffee!
HBO Max this week (Monday, February 23-Sunday, March 1, 2026) will add 95 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:
DTF: St. Louis (Premiere Episode)
When to Watch: Sunday, March 1
What Kind of Show: Black Comedy
Who’s In It: Jason Bateman, David Harbour, Linda Cardellini
Jason Bateman, David Harbour and Linda Cardellini star as three middle-aged adults entangled in a love triangle. That’s complicated enough but one of them winds up dead. If you’re intrigued, so am I, but HBO hasn’t revealed additional details. We’ll just have to stream in. Premiere episode on Sunday with subsequent episodes on Sundays until the series finale on April 12.
V For Vendetta (2006)
When to Watch: Sunday, March 1
What Kind of Movie: Adventure/Drama
Who’s In It: Hugo Weaving, Natalie Portman
Hugo Weaving (and a Guy Fawkes mask) stars as a revolutionary terrorist in the future who plans to overthrow a fascist government. The 2006 film, which is beautifully photographed, stirred some controversy as well for seemingly embracing violence as a means of protest. But you be the judge. V For Vendetta also stars Natalie Portman as the revolutionary’s reluctant sidekick.
All the President’s Men (1976)
When to Watch: Sunday, March 1
What Kind of Movie: Suspense, Drama
Who’s In It: Robert Redford, Dustin Hoffman, Jason Robards
All the President’s Men is a gripping political thriller about the two Washington Post reporters (Bob Woodard and Carl Bernstein) whose stories helped bring down the Nixon presidency. Directed by Alan J. Pakula as part of his personal 70s paranoia trilogy (Klute and The Parallax View the others), the film brilliantly captures the duo’s dedication to ferreting out the truth behind the scandal in spite of the personal and career risks. Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman are at career peaks here and it’s great fun to watch them cook in their prime. Great film!
