Netflix to Add 16 New Releases This Week: The 3 to Watch

Netflix this week (February 22-28, 2026) will add 16 TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion.

Bridgerton (Season 4, Part Two, 4 Episodes)
When to Watch: Thursday, February 26, 2026
What Kind of Show: Historical soap opera
Who’s In It: Jonathan Bailey, Nicola Coughlan

Bridgerton is not my cup of tea, if you will, but season four features a new mysterious love interest (a maid in a silver mask) for Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson). I’m told this will make Bridgerton’s female fans lose their tea. (Note: The first three seasons and the first four episodes of season four are now streaming on Netflix.)

Jurassic World Rebirth
When to Watch: Saturday, February 28
What Kind of Movie: Action/Adventure
Who’s In It: Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali

Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali star as covert operatives who lead a team to a remote island where the last dinosaurs reside so they can extract some dinosaur DNA for a life-saving heart disease drug. The problem with that? This is a Jurassic Park movie which means the dinosaurs are not inclined to cooperate. Lower the lights, and your expectations, and you’ll have fun. (But this is no Spielberg.)

Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning (2023)
When to Watch: Wednesday, February 25
What Kind of Movie: Action/Drama
Who’s In It: Tom Cruise, Hayley Atwell

The seventh installment in the action/adventure series starring Tom Cruise (pictured above) as secret agent Ethan Hunt  was released in theaters on July 12, 2023, generating nearly $600 million worldwide. And with good reason. The film is arguably the best MI yet with daredevil stunts and plot twists that defy the eyes and the senses. Cruise has never been better and the supporting cast, including series newcomer Hayley Atwell, is splendid. Get the big box of popcorn out for this one and enjoy.
