Peacock to Add 109 New Releases In March 2026: The 3 to Watch

Peacock next month (March 2026) will add 109 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

Wicked: For Good (2025)
When to Watch: March 20
What Kind of Movie: Fantasy Musical
Who’s In It: Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Jeff Goldblum

If you watched the Olympics for even a few minutes, you are probably acutely aware that Peacock will exclusively stream Wicked: For Good in March; the NBC-operated streamer ran non-stop ads promoting the premiere. The sequel to the 2024 Wicked again stars Ariana Grande as Glinda the Good with her sidekick Cynthia Erivo as the green-faced Wicked Witch of the West. The plot involves animal rights and other trendy issues but it’s basically backdrop for the sing-alongs that cheered millions in the theaters. To replicate that theater experience, Peacock will offer a ‘sing-along’ version of the film as well as the original and a director’s commentary. And if that’s not enough, there will also be an accompanying documentary called, Defying Gravity: The Curtain Rises On Wicked.

Ted (Season 2 Premiere)
When to Watch: March 5
What Kind of Show: Fantasy Comedy
Who’s In It: Max Burkholder, Seth MacFarlane (Voice)

And if you watched the Olympics, you are also probably aware that season two of Ted will premiere this month on Peacock. When the Wicked ads weren’t running, Ted spots were. The sitcom prequel to the 2012 Ted film starring Mark Wahlberg features Max Burkholder as young Mark who brings the foul-mouthed Teddy Bear to life with a simple wish. The TV rendition has won praise from most critics who say it honors the cinematic version with a few twists thrown in. (Season one now available on Peacock; the streamer is also adding the two Ted films on March 1.)

Licorice Pizza (2021)
When to Watch: March 1
What Kind of Movie: Comedy/Drama
Who’s In It: Cooper Hoffman, Alana Haim, Bradley Cooper

The brilliant 2021 comedy/drama from director Paul Thomas Anderson stars Cooper Hoffman (Philip Seymour Hoffman’s son) and rock queen Alana Haim as two oddly connected young souls trying to find their place amid the weirdness of Southern California’s San Fernando Valley in the mid-1970s. Bradley Cooper chews the delicious scenery as the real-life movie producer, Jon Peters, who seems obsessed with being Barbra Streisand’s boyfriend (he was) while engaging in rants and rages over every trivial matter. And Sean Penn plays Jack Holden (a William Holden cut-out), a whiskey-swilling veteran actor who never knows when to get off the stage. Licorice Pizza is Paul Thomas Anderson (Boogie Nights, Magnolia, There Will Be Blood, The Master) at his best and it should have won the 2022 Academy Award for Best Picture. (It was nominated.) PTA shows once again that he’s the Robert Altman of this era, weaving a tale of joy and heartbreak featuring some of the most interesting characters you’ll ever see on screen.
