ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, CW Adding 18 New Shows Wednesday Night: The 3 to Watch

NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox and The CW tonight (February 4, 2026) will add 18 shows to their lineups. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion. (All Times Eastern.)

The Muppet Show (Special episode)
What Kind of Show: Comedy/Variety
Where to Watch: ABC
When to Watch: 9 p.m.
The Muppet Show is back with a special half-hour event starring cloth-people Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy and real people (we think they’re real) Sabrina Carpenter, Seth Rogen and Maya Rudolph. Whether you’re a kid, or a kid at heart, these lovable puppets will make you laugh, dance and shine. (News reports say ABC is considering bringing the show back on a regular basis based on tonight’s ratings. So tune in so you don’t break the hearts of children everywhere!!)

Abbott Elementary (New episode at 8:30 p.m.; repeat at 9:30 p.m.)
What Kind of Show: Workplace comedy
Where to Watch: ABC
When to Watch: 8:30 p.m.
The mockumentary comedy featuring everyone’s favorite underfunded Philadelphia public school is back with a new episode (Season five, episode 14). Tonight, it’s a Valentine’s Day special as the staff evaluates their romantic partners while meddling into the students’ relationships. If you’ve never seen Abbott Elementary, it’s very funny and it doesn’t matter if you pick up the show in season five; you’ll quickly catch up on the plot lines which are quite familiar to anyone who ever attended elementary school. Note: This will be the last new episode until March.

The Masked Singer (New episode)
What Kind of Show: Musical Variety
Where to Watch: Fox
When to Watch: 8 p.m.
The musical revue tonight will celebrate the nation’s 250th birthday with the masked singers performing songs featuring freedom and unity. We may also get a new unmasking of a celebrity. The judges include Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Robin Thicke and Rita Ora.
