Netflix, Disney, HBO Max & Hulu Add 12 New Releases Monday – Here Are the 3 to Watch

Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max and Disney Plus today (December 15, 2025) have added 12 new shows and movies to their streaming lineups. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

Christmas at the Chalet – Netflix
Release Time: Today, 3 a.m. ET
With the streamer’s heavy emphasis on serial killer docs and dramas, and other meaty fare, you might not associate Netflix with traditional Christmas cheer. But the service today has added four Lifetime romance movies with a Christmas theme including Christmas At the Chalet which stars Teri Hatcher (Desperate Housewives) as a jilted woman who finds new love on the slopes. Grab a cup of Joe with some whipped cream and settle in for some holiday romance.

The Unknown Country (2022) – Hulu
Release Time: Today, 3 a.m. ET
If you liked Lily Gladstone in Martin Scorsese’s Killers of The Flower Moon, catch her earlier work here as a grieving woman who travels cross-country to reunite with her Native American tribe. The Unknown Country, which captured numerous nominations and awards in the independent film category, has a lofty 92 percent score at Rotten Tomatoes with critics giving Gladstone special praise.

The Bold Type (Seasons 1-5) – HBO Max
Release Time: Today, 3 a.m. ET.
And speaking of catching a star in the early days, a young Meghann Fahy (The White Lotus, Drop) shines in this Freeform comedy/drama about three women who juggle romance and careers while working for a high-profile women’s magazine. Rotten Tomatoes gave the first season a score of 97 out of 100, saying it’s “smart, hip, and exuberantly performed. The Bold Type sharply performed blends its soapy plotting with workplace drama that feels very of-the-moment.”
