Netflix to Add 12 New Releases This Week: The 3 to Watch

Netflix this week (February 2-8, 2026) will add 12 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

The Lincoln Lawyer (Season 4, 10 episodes)
When to Watch: Thursday, February 5, 2026
What Kind of Show: Legal Drama
Who’s In It: Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Neve Campbell
Manuel Garcia-Rulfo stars as Mickey Haller, a LA defense attorney who wins unwinnable cases while working out of a Lincoln Navigator (ergo, The Lincoln Lawyer). Neve Campbell (Scream) plays his ex-wife, and rival prosecutor, while Becki Newton is yet another ex-wife and current legal aide. (This guy gets around!) Based on the Michael Connelly books, and created by David E. Kelley (Boston Legal, Ally McBeal), The Lincoln Lawyer is an easy watch and it doesn’t matter where you pick up the show. But if you want to catch up, seasons one through three are now available on Netflix.

Queen of Chess
When to Watch: Friday, February 6, 2026
What Kind of Show: Documentary
Who’s In It: Judit Polgar, Garry Kasparov
Did you watch Netflix’s outstanding dramatic series, The Queen’s Gambit, starring Anya Taylor-Joy? If so, you will love this new Netflix documentary on Judit Polgar, the real-life version of the film. Polgar, a Hungarian, set out at 12 to be the best chess master in the world, a seemingly ludicrous goal considering the obstacles facing female players. The doc chronicles her rise in the ranks including her thrilling match against the legendary Garry Kasparov who was no fan of females in the grand game.

Search Party (Seasons 1-5)
When to Watch: Thursday, February 5, 2026
What Kind of Series: Black Comedy
Who’s In It: Alia Shawkat, John Reynolds
Looking for a hidden gem to binge? Try Search Party, a smart and amusing HBO Max/TBS series that follows a group of young Brooklynites as they search for a missing friend. The search leads to unexpected complications – and comedy, of course, albeit of the dark kind. Rotten Tomatoes gave each of Search Party’s five seasons a score of 93 or higher.
