NBC, Fox, ABC, CW, CBS Adding 13 New Shows Friday Night: The 3 to Watch

CBS, ABC, Fox, CW and NBC tonight (January 30, 2026) are adding 13 shows to their lineups. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion: (All Times Eastern)

College Basketball: Michigan at Michigan State
Where to Watch: Fox
When to Watch: 8 p.m.
Who’s In It: Yaxel Landeborg, Jeremy Fears, Jr.
We have a real barn burner tonight on Fox with 3rd ranked Michigan visiting state rival and 7th ranked Michigan State in Big Ten action. Michigan (19-1) is led by Yaxel Landeborg who’s averaging 14.2 points a game and seven rebounds while Michigan State is paced by sophomore guard Jeremy Fears, Jr. who’s averaging 14.1 points and 8.9 assists per game. ESPN’s Matchup Predictor gives Michigan a narrow 53 percent chance of winning. Should be a close one.

20/20 (New episode)
Where to Watch: ABC
When to Watch: 9 p.m.
The investigative team at 20/20 will get two hours tonight to solve the mysterious and brutal murder of 20-year-old Friendly’s waitress Amanda Plasse who was stabbed to death in her Massachusetts apartment. The police say the trail is cold but Amanda’s mother thinks the killer is hiding in plain sight. True crime fans, this one is for you.

Stumble (New episode) 
Where to Watch: NBC
When to Watch: 8:30 p.m.
Did you like The Office? Parks and Recreation? Then you will probably like Stumble, a mockumentary-style comedy about a cheerleading team at a West Texas junior college. The talented cast includes former SNL cast member Taran Killam as a local college football coach and Jenn Lyon as the cheerleading coach. Tonight is a new episode (number nine in season one): That AI data center that Lyon’s character hoped would deliver funding for the cheer squad just shut down the entire city’s power supply. Lights out, folks. (If you like the show tonight, you can binge the first eight episodes of season one at Peacock. Stumble debuted in November.)

20/20 (New episode) – 9 p.m.
Jimmy Kimmel Live (Guests: Martin Short) – 11:35 p.m.

CBS
Inside the 68th Annual Grammy Awards (New episode) – 8 p.m.
Sheriff Country – 9 p.m.
Boston Blue – 10 p.m.
Late Show With Stephen Colbert (Guests: Jane Fonda, Jessica Williams) – 11:35 p.m.

Fox

Happy’s Place (New episode) – 8 p.m.
Stumble (New episode) – 8:30 p.m.
Dateline NBC (New episode) – 9 p.m.
