NBC, CBS, ABC, CW, Fox Adding 13 New Shows Tonight: The 3 to Watch

ABC, Fox, CBS, NBC and The CW tonight (January 6, 2026) will add 13 shows and episodes. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion. (All Times Eastern.)

High Potential (New episode)
Where to Watch: ABC
When to Watch: 9 p.m.
If you’re looking for a new show to love, check out High Potential which stars Kaitlin Olson as a genius single Mom (don’t all single Moms have to be geniuses?) who uses her exceptional brain power to help the local police solve crimes. Olson (It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia) is very good in lead and ABC tonight will air a new episode (number eight) from the current season two: Morgan (Olson) gets closer to the truth behind the missing Rembrandt and it could involve a certain art dealer. (If you like the show, you can catch the entire first season and the first seven episodes of season two at Disney Plus/Hulu.)

WWE NXT
Where to Watch: The CW
When to Watch: 8 p.m. ET
The CW network tonight will broadcast the WWE’s annual, ‘New Year’s Evil,’ a live event from Orlando, Florida where no one is safe, particularly from an overlapping toehold. There are always special and unexpected appearances during the Evil show but scheduled events include a NXT championship match between Leon Slater and Oba Femi and a women’s championship bout between Kendal Grey and Jacy Jayne. Oh, the humanity! THE EVIL!

When to Watch: 8 p.m.
Josh Charles stars as Dr. Martin Best, a brilliant Boston doctor who moves to a small fishing village in Maine where comic hijinks soon ensue. The Fox medical comedy debuted Sunday and the network tonight is reairing the first episode. Good opportunity to catch a new show to see if it’s worthy of your watch list. Charles (The Good Wife) is an amiable and amusing presence in this ‘fish out of water’ tale, if you’ll forgive the pun. (Display image above is Josh Charles from the show.)
