Amazon’s Prime Video this week (August 4-10, 2025) plans to add four new movies and TV shows to its streaming lineup. Here’s a summary of the new releases coming this week:
Wednesday, August 6
My Dead Boyfriend (2016)
You don’t get many movies that can claim a zero score on Rotten Tomatoes. But that’s what we have here in My Dead Boyfriend. Heather Graham stars as a writer wannabe whose mundane existence takes a turn when she finds her couch potato boyfriend dead on the aforementioned couch. Gee, can’t imagine why the critics didn’t fall in love with that plot!
The Pickup (2025)
Eddie Murphy and Pete Davidson play armored truck drivers who are ambushed by thieves while unloading their cash drop. The action turns to comedy when the pair are enlisted to help the robbers abscond with the truck and money. Eva Longoria also stars in this Amazon original film.
Thursday, August 7
Taurasi (2025)
The Amazon original documentary chronicles the career and post-career of Diana Taurasi, arguably the greatest female basketball player of all time.
Friday-Sunday, August 8-10
Outside Lands Music Festival Livestream
Amazon Prime will livestream the three-day music festival with each day’s feed starting at 1:30 p.m. ET. Musicians expected to perform include Tyler, Rebecca Black, Doja Cat and Hozier.
