Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, Amazon, Peacock Add 11 New Releases Tuesday: The 3 to Watch

Netflix, Peacock, Amazon, Hulu, and HBO Max today (January 6, 2026) have added 11 new shows and movies to their streaming lineups. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

The Luckiest Man In America (2024)
What Kind of Show: Movie Drama
Where to Watch: Hulu
Based loosely on a true story, Paul Walter Hauser (Richard Jewell) stars as Michael Larson, a lowly truck driver who wins thousands of dollars on a game show via questionable means. Walton Goggins is the game show’s host who initially tries to trip up Larson, fearing he will bankrupt the program. The Luckiest Man In America is a showcase for some of the best character actors on the planet (Hauser, Goggins and David Strathairn as the game show’s executive producer) as well as an inspiring drama about a ‘little’ man who strikes it big when given a chance. What Kind of Show: True Crime Documentary
Where to Watch: HBO Max
In June 2001, Texas mother Andrew Yates drowned her five small children in the family bathtub. The crime horrified the nation and left Americans wondering what kind of mental illness could cause it. However, a new documentary from Discovery ID says a charismatic cult leader may have caused it by inciting Yates to commit an extreme act for her religious beliefs. The show includes interviews with past cult followers and Yates family members including her husband.

Where to Watch: Amazon’s Prime Video
Kenan Thompson and Kevin Hart continue their sports talk show series, casting a funny eye (well, four eyes) at recent top games with celebrity interviews and other miscellaneous filler. Love sports and need a quick laugh? This one is for you.
