Paramount Plus, the streaming service, announced yesterday that it will raise prices in January 2026.
The streamer’s ads-included Essential plan will increase from $7.99 a month to $8.99 a month on January 15, 2026. The Premium plan, which includes Showtime and a live feed of your local CBS affiliate, will rise from $12.99 a month to $13.99 a month on that day.
Paramount Plus said in a financial statement released yesterday: “These changes will fuel continued reinvestment in the user experience and deliver an even stronger slate of programming for our customers in the year ahead and beyond.”
The price hike follows an industry trend with several streaming services, including Hulu, Apple TV, Disney Plus and HBO Max, raising prices in recent weeks.
Paramount Plus’ Essentials annual plan will also increase from $59.99 a year to $89.99 a year while the Premium annual plan will jump from $119.99 a year to $139.99 a year.
