Netflix plans to remove 35 movies and TV shows from its streaming lineup on November 1, 2025. Here are the three to watch, before they leave, in my humble opinion:

Blow (2001)
Johnny Depp (pictured above) stars as U.S. drug dealer George Jung in this wild retelling of his slinging life directed by the late Ted Demme. Depp can be uneven in his performances but he throws his whole soul in the part, effectively capturing Jung’s vainglorious journey to become rich while avoiding the police and dealing with the likes of drug kingpin Pablo Escobar and Panamanian dictator Manuel Noriega. It’s a crazy story. The juicy supporting cast includes Penelope Cruz, Paul (Pee-wee Herman) Reubens and Ray Liotta.

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986)
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off has become the American cinema’s best coming-of-age comedy ever thanks to the perfect performance by Matthew Broderick as the wisecracking and charismatic Ferris. The film, which features Ferris playing hooky from school, serves up everything you want from a comedy and more. And let’s not forget the great supporting work from Alan Buck as Ferris’ put-upon pal. Fun film! If you’ve never seen it, please do. And if you have, it’s immensely rewatchable and just as funny the second or 12th time.

Happy Gilmore (1996)
Adam Sandler is hilarious as a former hockey player who turns golf pro to save his grandmother’s home from foreclosure. Christopher McDonald is superb as his foil, a star golfer named Shooter McGavin and the splendid supporting cast also includes the recently departed Carl Weathers as Happy’s mentor, former SNL pal Kevin Nealon as a fellow golfer, SCTV great (now also late) Joe Flaherty as a heckling fan and the great Bob Barker as himself.
