Apple TV+ Gets a New Name – And People Are Already Confused
Apple TV+, the streaming service, is renaming itself, Apple TV, which is the name of the company’s streaming device. And if you’re not confused yet, I’m sure you will be eventually. An Apple press release says the renaming gives the streaming device – oops, sorry – the streaming service – a “vibrant new identity.” Apple TV, the streaming service formerly known as Apple TV+, is the home of numerous critically-acclaimed shows including Severance, Ted Lasso and Friends & Neighbors. Apple’s F1 Movie With Brad Pitt Gets a Home Streaming Date
F1, which stars Brad Pitt as a ruthless and sometimes reckless race car driver, comes to Apple TV on December 12. The movie, which was produced by Apple, is now on sale digitally for $19.99. But the movie will be available with the $12.99 Apple TV subscription starting on 12/12. To learn more, click here.

Apple to Stream Select Lakers Games On Vision Pro
Apple has announced that it will stream some Los Angeles Lakers games this season on its Virtual Reality device, Vision Pro. The VR headset will make it feel like you’re at court side during the game which sounds terrific. The problem is, sales of the Vision Pro, which launched in February 2024, have been far, far below company expectations which means the number of people who will actually watch LeBron and crew in VR will be miniscule indeed. Breaking Bad Creator’s New Sci-Fi Series Hits Apple TV Next Month
Vince Gilligan, the mastermind behind Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, has a new sci-fi series called Pluribus which will premiere on Apple TV on November 7. The show stars Saul’s Rhea Seehorn as an unhappy woman who mysteriously has the key to saving the world. Apple just released a new trailer for the show and here it is:
