HBO Max to Add 15 New Releases This Week: The One to Watch

The TV Answer Man – Buy Me a Coffee!

HBO Max this week (March 2-8, 2026) will add 15 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here’s the one to watch, in my humble opinion:

Rooster (Season one premiere)
When to Watch: March 8
What Kind of Show: Comedy
Who’s In It: Steve Carell, John C. McGinley, Charly Clive

Steve Carell stars as an author who has a complicated relationship with his daughter (Charly Clive) whose husband just split to have an affair. We don’t many details from HBO beyond that but Carell is very funny in the trailer and the writing team comes from shows like Ted Lasso so this looks like a good bet. Still not convinced? Connie Britton (Friday Night Lights) is in the recurring cast so it’s gotta’ be good.
