Amazon’s Prime Video to Add 122 New Shows & Movies This Week – Here Are the 3 to Watch

Amazon’s Prime Video this week (September 29-October 5, 2025) plans to add 122 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

Play Dirty (2025) – Amazon Original Film
Release Date: Wednesday, October 1
Mark Wahlberg stars as a world class thief who must take down his biggest heist yet while avoiding the New York mob. Directed by Shane Black (The Nice Guys, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang), the Amazon original action/thriller should deliver plenty of action and quips with Wahlberg in lead.

Thursday Night Football: 49ers at Rams
Release Date: Thursday, October 2
The 3-1 San Francisco 49ers meet the 3-1 Los Angeles Rams in this in-state rivalry of potential playoff teams. The Rams, led by QB Matthew Stafford, are 3.5-point favorites after defeating the Colts yesterday, 27-20. (The 49ers lost to Jacksonville, 26-21.) Pre-game coverage starts at 7 p.m. ET with kickoff set for 8:15 p.m. ET.

Bull Durham (1988)
Bull Durham, the 1988 baseball comedy from director Ron Shelton (a former minor league baseball player in the Orioles organization), stars Kevin Costner as a career-long minor leaguer who’s summoned to tutor a talented but dimwitted pitcher (Tim Robbins). Shelton’s personal experience in the bush leagues brings a realism to this fun film.
