Netflix to Add 22 New Shows & Movies This Week – Here Are the 3 to Watch

Netflix this week (September 7-13, 2025) plans to add 22 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

Canelo Álvarez vs. Terence Crawford
Release Date: September 13, 8 p.m. ET
Netflix has been dabbling with live sports for a few years now but this is the biggest event it has streamed ever. On September 13, the streaming giant will host (exclusively) the Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez-Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford fight for free with all plans. (No pay-per-view, folks.) The undercard is expected to begin at 8 p.m. ET with the main bout around 11 p.m, ET. Alvarez, 62-2-2 with 39 KOs, is the Super Middleweight Champion while Crawford, 41-0 with 31 KOs, is the WBA’s Junior Middleweight Champion. Crawford will jump up in weight to 168 pounds to compete for the Super Middleweight crown. The two are considered the sport’s best fighters pound-for-pound and this should be a battle for the ages.

Release Date: Wednesday, September 10
Charlie Sheen became such a train wreck a few decades ago that it’s difficult to remember that he was once a highly regarded actor, starring in such classics as Platoon and Wall Street. But Sheen, the son of actor Martin Sheen and brother to Emilio Estevez, did fly off the rails, dabbling in every imaginable pharmaceutical and even something called Tiger Blood while claiming in insane videos that he was ‘winning.’ In this documentary, the actor reflects on a life that has included more drama and comedic hijinks that any film he appeared in.

Love Is Blind: Brazil, season five
Love Is Blind: France, season one
Release Date: Wednesday, September 11
Based on the American version of the Netflix dating series, a few dozen French and Brazilian men and women will take turns jumping into shielded pods to discuss life, sex and other trivial matters while searching for ‘the one.’ The show is more disposable than an ultra-soft box of Kleenex but it’s harmless and occasionally funny. And if you’re a 20something, it’s probably irresistible. And on Wednesday, you get two different editions!
