TV Answer Man, will the NBA League Pass be available on YouTube TV again this season? – Gabe, Carson City, Nevada.

Gabe, as you know, the NBA League Pass is the league’s online package of out-of-market games, similar to MLB TV and the NFL Sunday Ticket. The cost is $16.99 a month for the base plan (games with ads) and $24.99 a month for the Premium package (games with no ads; you see a live camera shot of the arena during game breaks.)

YouTube TV offered the League Pass to subscribers as an add-on plan during the 2024-25 season. This was a nice benefit because YouTube TV allowed viewers to watch multiple games on one screen with its Multview feature.

So will the live streamer provide it again for 2025-26?

Answer: No. YouTube TV has notified subscribers that it will no longer carry the NBA League Pass because the league has signed an exclusive agreement with Amazon.

“We know live sports are a key part of your YouTube TV experience, so we wanted to give you a heads up about an upcoming change to your NBA League Pass subscription. The NBA has signed a new agreement with Amazon to be the exclusive channel store of NBA League Pass, which means this service will no longer be available on YouTube TV starting September 30, 2025,” the streamer said in a customer e-mail. “At that time, your NBA League Pass subscription will be canceled automatically, and you will no longer be charged for this add-on. If you are a monthly subscriber, you will receive a refund for your last payment.”

Amazon acquired the exclusive deal last year when it signed an 11-year $1.8 billion agreement to carry dozens of regular season NBA games annually starting next month when the new season begins.

Although you won’t be able to get the NBA League Pass via YouTube TV or perhaps other streamers besides Amazon, you can still order it directly from the League Pass site here.

Update: Despite YouTube TV’s statement, DIRECTV says it will carry the NBA League Pass for the 2025/26 season.

Gabe, I hope that answers your question. Happy viewing and stay safe!
