Netflix has signed an agreement to become the TV home of the 2026 World Baseball Classic in Japan. The 47-game tournament, which features teams representing countries across the globe, will remain on Fox Sports in the United States.
The deal is Netflix’s latest foray into live sports. The streamer carries two regular season NFL games on Christmas Day and has also streamed several live boxing matches.
There have been multiple news reports that Netflix is negotiating to carry MLB’s Home Run Derby in the United States but no deals have been announced as of this morning. The HR Derby has been an exclusive on ESPN.
The 2026 World Baseball Classic will be held from March 5-17, 2026.
