TV Answer Man, I was going to subscribe to Peacock but I see that prices have gone up! Any ideas on how to save money on a Peacock subscription? – Denise, Akron, Ohio.

Denise, you’re right. Peacock, the NBCUniversal operated  streaming service, has raised the price of its Premium Plus plan from $13.99 a month to $16.99 a month. The Premium plan, which was $7.99 a month, is now $10.99 a month.

Peacock also introduced a new plan, called Select, which is $7.99 a month. But Select does not include live sports from NBC.

So is there a way to subscribe to Peacock without paying the higher prices?

Answer: Yes! Here’s how:

Do you know anyone who’s in college or simply between the ages of 18-24? If so, you could use their credentials to get the Peacock Premium plan for $2.99 a month for 12 months.

Over the 12 months, you would save $96 with the student/young person plan so it’s definitely worth considering. With the savings, you could buy your young friend a little gift for his/her help.

Note that you might encounter the Password Police if you attempt to share the user name and password with the young person or anyone else.

Denise, I hope that answers your question. Happy viewing and stay safe!
