Amazon’s Prime Video to Add 11 New Shows & Movies This Week – Here’s the One to Watch

Amazon’s Prime Video this week (August 10-16, 2025) plans to add 11 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here’s the one to watch, in my humble opinion:

Creed (2015)
Director Ryan Coogler (Sinners) amazingly breathes new life in the four decade-old Rocky franchise with Michael B. Jordan (pictured above) starring as Adonis Creed, the lost son of Rocky frenemy Apollo Creed. Adonis aims to follow in his pop’s footsteps as a world champion but struggles until an aging (but wiser) Rocky Balboa agrees to train him. Sylvester Stallone is rejuvenated in the role, displaying a pathos the character hasn’t exhibited since the original Rocky in 1976. He’s great and so is Jordan. And being a Rocky film, albeit it under the Creed banner, there are fight scenes and they are as thrilling as any in the Rocky series. Creed is a great film and a wonderful showcase for Coogler’s talents.
