Deal Alert: Why TV Viewers Should Switch Wireless Service to T-Mobile

As someone who is going broke, I am now on the lookout for deals, anything that might save a few bucks. So I want to share with you my decision to switch wireless service from AT&T to T-Mobile and why it can save you money on both your phone service and your monthly TV bill.

I was paying $112 a month on wireless service with AT&T. But I switched to T-Mobile’s Experience More plan (one phone line) which costs $85 a month. The wireless benefits and coverage areas were roughly the same so I didn’t lose anything in the switch.

And in addition to the savings on my monthly phone bill (and a five-year price guarantee), the plan comes with Netflix’s ad-included plan and Apple TV Plus for free. Normally, they are $7.99 a month and $9.99 a month. So I saved another $18 a month in streaming bills.

If you bump up to the T-Mobile $100 a month Experience Beyond plan, you also get Hulu for free.

These are great perks for consumers weary of paying escalating TV bills. (And don’t forget that T-Mobile offers a free year of MLB TV every March as well.)

Something to think about, folks. To learn more about the T-Mobile plans, click here. And keep coming back to TV Answer Man for more deals.

I had Verizon since day one of mobile service, about 5 years ago I switched to T-Mobile to save money, biggest mistake ever. Don’t believe their coverage maps, they are false. We had the worst coverage with T-Mobile and speeds were not good. Once my commitment was up with T-Mobile I switched to AT&T and everyone on my plan has been super happy. I can honestly say I’ve never been in an area where I didn’t have service, I can’t say that about Verizon or T-Mobile. I’m lucky were I can get corporate discounts with all three offerings through the company I work for so that helps me. For those that can get on AARP (membership $15 per year), that will get you a corporate discount with AT&T which I plan to take advantage of when I retire.

I did that switch from AT&T to T-Mobile just over a year ago. What a nightmare! T-Mobile had EVERYTHING screwed up from the start. Fortunately, since they couldn’t find my account, I was able to hang up and walk way. Then I trotted over to Mint Mobile. Not for $100/ month. Not even $85/ month. No, just $15/ month. WOW! Mint uses the T- Mobile network but without the headaches. I’ve been with Mint for just over a year and love it. Forget the free subscriptions. This is REAL savings!
