Hulu to Add 26 New Titles This Week – Here’s the 3 Most Interesting

Hulu this week (July 7-13, 2024) plans to add 26 new TV shows and movies to its subscription Video on Demand service. Here’s the three most interesting, in my humble opinion:

Mastermind: To Think Like a Killer (Hulu Original)
If you liked Mindhunter, Netflix’s exceptional drama about serial killers from director David Fincher, you should like Mastermind: To Think Like a Killer. The Hulu original documentary series features the work of Ann Burgess, the FBI profiler who was played in the Netflix show by Anna Torv (Fringe). Produced in part by the acting sister duo, Dakota and Elle Fanning, Mastermind chronicles Burgess’ innovative techniques in detecting and catching the nation’s most famous serial killers and other master criminals. Burgess, now 87, is interviewed in the series and serves as an executive producer. Debuts Thursday, July 11.

The Bachelorette: Season 21 Premiere
The rose-slinging, marriage-at-first-sight reality show will make some history this season with the first Asian-American in the bachelorette seat. Jennifer Tran, a 26-year-old physician assistant student from New Jersey, will assume the honors with the honorable duties including making out in hot tubs with complete strangers. But who’s counting, right? Not me, but if YOU are counting along at home, Tran finished fifth in the 28th season of The Bachelor. But she can’t lose here. That is, unless she actually picks one of the contestants. Debuts Tuesday, July 9.

The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard: Complete Season 1
If you watched The Act on Hulu, Gypsy Rose Blanchard is the young lady (played in the show by Joey King) convicted of murdering her mother after being imprisoned by her for years at home. Somehow the producers of this show found six episodes of ‘confessions’ from GRB so the creativity alone in producing it makes this one of the most interesting new titles of the week. Ms. Blanchard, by the way, was paroled last December after serving eight years. Debuts Friday, July 12.
