Netflix to Add 20 New Titles This Week – Here’s the 3 Most Interesting

Netflix plans to add 20 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup this week (July 7-13, 2024.) Here are the three most interesting new titles, in my humble opinion:

Receiver (Netflix Original)
Netflix follows up its well-reviewed Quarterback documentary series with an eight-episode installment on NFL receivers, featuring Davante Adams, Justin Jefferson, George Kittle, Deebo Samuel and Amon-Ra St. Brown. The show, a joint effort from NFL Films and Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions, chronicles their 2023 seasons both on and off the field. Debuts Wednesday, July 10.

Bad Boys and Bad Boys II (1995 and 2003)
If you recently visited the theaters to watch Bad Boys: Ride or Die, here’s your chance to catch the first two films in the buddy comedy series. (Ride or Die is the fourth.) Will ‘Slappy’ Smith and Martin Lawrence play two Miami detectives who investigate the invasion of various illegal drugs in their fair city, including ecstasy and heroin. Believe it or not, the original Bad Boys was released in 1995 (so far back that supporting player Tea Leoni was a thing then) which means these two have been chasing the bad guys for almost thirty years. (By now, they might need some of those drugs they’ve been chasing after.) Debuts Monday, July 8.

Love Is Blind: Brazil: Season 4 (Netflix Original)
Based on the American version of the Netflix dating series, 32 Brazilian nubile men and women take turns jumping into shielded pods to discuss life, sex and other trivial matters while searching for ‘the one.’ The show is more disposable than an ultra-soft box of Kleenex but it’s harmless and occasionally funny. And if you’re a 20something, it’s probably irresistible. Debuts Wednesday, July 10.
