TV Answer Man, will the All-Star game be in 4K on Tuesday? I haven’t seen you write about that yet? – Jamal, Sacramento, California.
Jamal, the 95th MLB All-Star Game will be played Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 8 p.m. ET in Truist Park in Cumberland, Georgia, the home of the Atlanta Braves. The game will be broadcast once again by Fox, but will the network offer the annual showcase of the game’s best in the best picture format possible: 4K?
Answer: Yes. Fox was late this year in announcing that the game would be in 4K, but it will be.
How Can You Watch Fox In 4K?
Fox will offer an upscaled 4K feed of the game on its Fox Sports app. You can watch it by logging in to the app with your TV Everywhere user name and password from your pay TV provider. (Note that the Fox Now app is no longer available. Also, Fox will simulcast the game in HD on its network affiliate stations.
The pay TV services that are expected to carry the Fox games in upscaled 4K on special 4K channels are DIRECTV, Dish, Comcast, Verizon, Sling TV, Optimum, YouTube TV, and FuboTV. (In FuboTV markets where the Fox affiliate is provided with your programming package.) Check your on-screen guide for more details.

How Does Fox’s Upscaled 4K Look?
Fox’s 4K broadcasts are upscaled from 1080p HDR (High Dynamic Range). Upscaling is the process when one video format is converted to another. Fox takes the 1080p HDR signal and converts it to a 4K format. Upscaling 4K is not considered as good as native 4K, but the inclusion of HDR can offer heightened colors and vividness.
Jamal, I hope that answers your question. Happy viewing and stay safe!
