September 14: Will Fox Have Any College Football In 4K?

TV Answer Man, any word on whether Fox will have a college football game in 4K this weekend? This is the only way I can watch games now. The picture is excellent. — Sam, Largo, Maryland.
Sam, Fox’s 4K broadcasts are upscaled 4K, meaning they are produced in 1080p HD and converted to the 4K format for home transmission. Still, I agree the picture on the upscaled 4K games is normally better than regular HD.
Now to your question: Fox will offer two college football games in upscaled 4K this week! (The 4K games will be simulcast in HD on Fox network affiliates.)
The first 4K game will be at noon ET (September 14) when Alabama will visit Wisconsin. Game two in 4K will be the 3:30 p.m. ET contest between Oregon and Oregon State.
How Can You Watch Fox’s Games In 4K?
Fox’s 4K games can be seen in the format on the Fox Sports app by logging in with your TV Everywhere user name and password from your pay TV provider. (Note that the Fox Now app is no longer available.)
The pay TV services that are expected to carry the Fox games in 4K on special 4K channels are DIRECTV, Dish, Sling TV, Comcast, Verizon, Optimum, DIRECTV Stream, YouTube TV, and FuboTV. (In FuboTV markets where the Fox affiliate is provided with your programming package.) Check your on-screen guide for more details.

Sam, hope that helps. Happy viewing and stay safe!
