HBO Max this week (June 16-22, 2025) will add 13 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here’s the one to watch, in my humble opinion:
The Gilded Age (Season 3) – HBO Original
Release Date: Sunday, June 22.
The HBO original series, which stars Carrie Coon (pictured above), Cynthia Nixon, Morgan Spector and Christine Baranski, chronicles high society in New York during the boom times of the 1880s. If you like Downton Abbey, and similar fare, this is right up your Jay Gould alley. Show creators say season three will focus on the rise of divorce among the elite with Bill Camp (Presumed Innocent) and Leslie Uggams joining the cast. Season three premiere on June 22 with future episodes on Sunday nights until the season finale on August 10.
